We are seeking a full time Senior Building Enclosure Consultant for our downtown Portland office.

Position Summary
The Senior Building Enclosure Consultant has exceptional skills and knowledge of the building enclosure, including but not limited to knowledge of building enclosure system design and the fundamental modes of air and water infiltration. Management skills and the ability to work independently in a close-knit, team environment are required.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in Engineering or Architecture (or related field)
  • 7+ years progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the specialty
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and consistently deliver high quality, accurate work with limited supervision
  • Significant knowledge of building enclosure technology including but not limited to; enclosure materials and assemblies, design and procurement methodologies, quality assurance/control tools and the fundamental modes of heat, air and moisture control.
  • Ability to bring in new clients using personal contacts network
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and consistently deliver high quality, accurate work with limited supervision
  • Ability to clearly express ideas verbally and graphically
  • Ability to embrace new challenges in a rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to communicate with various, sometimes competing parties, in an objective manner
  • Construction Administration Experience
  • Project Management Experience

Specific Responsibilities / Essential Functions

  • Act as singular point of contact for clients and as a liaison to project teams
  • Manage projects from first contact through completion
  • Develop fee proposals and manage contract negotiations
  • Seek out potential projects and make contact with project teams to ensure new business
  • Seek out new contacts within the field for networking
  • Use personal areas of expertise and the expertise of other staff to deliver elegant solutions to complex enclosure problems.
